Leadership Development without mystery pricing
Most leadership firms hide their rates behind a "request a quote" wall. We publish ours. Every engagement at Leadership Xpansion is priced by the day, the hour, or the deliverable. No packages. No tiers. You pay for what you actually use.
How we charge for Leadership Development work
We don't sell bronze, silver, or gold. Those labels exist to make comparison easy for the vendor, not for you. Instead, we price by unit of work. Pick the format that matches your situation, and scale up or down month to month.
| Format | Unit | Rate (CAD) |
|---|---|---|
| On-site facilitation | Full day (up to 7 hours) | $2,400 |
| Virtual facilitation | Half day (up to 3.5 hours) | $1,100 |
| 1-on-1 executive coaching | 60-minute session | $325 |
| 360-degree feedback design and debrief | Per participant | $480 |
| Custom curriculum design | Per module (approx. 4 hours of content) | $1,800 |
| Team diagnostic and report | Per team (up to 12 people) | $3,200 |
| Ongoing advisory retainer | Per month (up to 6 hours) | $1,750 |
Travel within the National Capital Region is included. For engagements outside Gatineau-Ottawa, we add actual travel costs at receipt. No markups.
A typical mid-size engagement runs six to ten facilitation days plus coaching sessions over four months. That usually lands between $18,000 and $30,000. But some clients book a single diagnostic day for $3,200 and act on the findings themselves. Both are fine.
Why we dropped packages entirely
Packages force you to buy things you may not need. A team with strong self-awareness doesn't need a 360-degree feedback round. A CEO who already has a coach doesn't need another one bundled in. We found that when we removed packages, clients spent less money and got better results, because every dollar went toward a real gap.
The shift happened in 2021. We had a client in the non-profit sector who purchased our "Emerging Leaders" package. Three of the five modules were redundant for their team. They were polite about it, but we could see the energy drain in the room. After that engagement, we dismantled all packages and rebuilt our pricing around discrete deliverables.
Since then, repeat engagement rates have climbed. Clients come back because they trust that we won't pad an invoice.
Is this a fit?
We work well with teams that
- Have at least five people in a leadership or management role
- Are willing to let us observe before we prescribe
- Want measurable behaviour change, not just inspiration
- Can commit a minimum of two half-days per month for at least eight weeks
- Have executive sponsorship for the work
We're probably not the right choice if
- You need a one-hour keynote speaker for an event
- The goal is a certificate or credential rather than skill change
- Budget decisions require more than 60 days of internal approval
- You want a fixed syllabus delivered identically each time
What a typical engagement looks like
We start with a diagnostic. That means sitting in on real meetings, reading existing survey data, and interviewing six to eight people across levels. The diagnostic takes one to two days depending on team size. You get a written report within five business days.
From there, we co-design the work with your internal sponsor. Maybe it's six facilitation days spread over three months, plus bi-weekly coaching for three directors. Maybe it's a single intensive week. The shape follows the diagnosis.
At the midpoint, we check progress against the original goals. If something isn't working, we change it. There's no contractual penalty for shifting direction mid-engagement. You're paying by the day, remember.
The people doing the work
Two senior facilitators and one associate make up the core team. Between us, we've worked inside federal departments, provincial health authorities, SaaS companies, and manufacturing plants. Nobody on our team has fewer than nine years of direct facilitation experience.
We don't subcontract. The person you meet in the scoping call is the person who shows up in the room. If our capacity is full, we'll tell you and suggest a realistic start date rather than farming your engagement out to someone you've never met.
Our office is at 6291 Yundt Crossing, J8X 1A1 Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. Most of our work happens on-site at client locations across the National Capital Region, though we run virtual sessions for teams in other provinces.
Outcomes clients have reported
Reduced meeting time by 30% across a 40-person department
After a six-day facilitation engagement focused on decision-making clarity, a federal agency restructured its governance meetings. Directors reported gaining back roughly five hours per week.
Cut voluntary turnover in a product team from 22% to 9%
Coaching sessions with four engineering managers surfaced a pattern: high performers were leaving because feedback was delayed by months. We helped install a lightweight weekly check-in practice. Turnover dropped within two quarters.
Launched a peer-coaching network that outlasted the engagement
A healthcare client wanted development that would sustain itself. We trained eight internal facilitators over ten weeks. Two years later, the network still meets monthly without our involvement.
Resolved a leadership conflict that had stalled a merger integration
Two co-leads from merging organizations couldn't agree on reporting structure. A four-session mediated coaching arc helped them design a shared operating model. The integration timeline accelerated by six weeks.
